The usual way that an online store does postage is to overcharge you heaps and call it profit. That's not what we want to do at Whooshtronics, so we will continue to alter the postage rates until we get a model that works well.

For now, be assured that we look at each sale and look carefully at the postage charged and make sure its something that we can sleep at night with.

For the most part, the postage is pretty good, but occasionally it hiccups and we have ended up charging people, what we consider to be, too much for it.

In these cases we have either:

• Included extra bits for no charge to make it more equitable
• Issued a coupon for the amount of a partial refund
• or issued a refund via Paypal

This is purely at our discretion however, so please do not expect that you will automatically receive a concession if you place an order through the store. As previously mentioned, most of the time it is pretty right but we will continue to monitor sales on a case by case basis.

In the meantime we have discovered that if the package (padded postage bag) and contents are less than 20mm thick, we can send it at envelope rates which drastically reduces both the local and international rates. So we have remodelled the individual products so that they will use this rate wherever possible (usually for orders of 1 or 2 items that can be packed suitably). Some items we cannot pack less than 20mm and will automatically pick up a small package rate. For future products we will be looking at this dimension very carefully and, wherever possible, will try and keep packages within the envelope size guidlines.

So. if you looked before and thought the freight was too much, check it again as it may have changed significantly.
